Justin Patterson
Assistant Coach

With the 2018-19 academic year, Justin Patterson enters his third season as an assistant on the Adrian College men's lacrosse coaching staff.

College Coaching Experience Prior to Adrian College

NCAA Division II, Assumption College, Offensive Coordinator

  • Coached the offense, including man-up opportunities
  • Responsibilities included scouting and video breakdown, as well as assist with in-game coaching and practice preparation 
  • Mentored freshman Travis Reid who was named to the Northeast-10 Conference all-star team and on the way to be nationally-ranked 32nd in goals and 33rd in points

NCAA Division III, Houghton College, Offensive Coordinator

  • Coach of Offense, Extra man offense, goalies
  • Responsibilities included scouting, video breakdown, travel coordination and athletic facility supervision, as well as assist with in-game coaching and practice preparation
  • Coached Paul Chapman who ranked third in Empire 8 Conference goal-scoring average and shots per game

Camp Clincian

  • Worked many camps and showcases including Blue Chip 225, College of the Holy Cross Prospect Days, Crusader Clash, FLG camps and showcases, Wolverine War, Battle of the States, NXT Lacrosse events,

Club Coaching Experience

  • Team Central Head Coach, based out of central Massachusetts during summer of 2016 (updated player profiles and Hudl accounts)
  • LaxDreams, based out of Corning New York, grades 3rd through 12th

College Lacrosse Career and Education

Long Island University Post (formerly known as CW Post)

  • Four-starter at attack as a NCAA Division II student-athlete, racking up 113 career points on 39 goals and 74 assists
  • Pioneers compiled a 49–12 record and .803 winning percentage during Patterson's tenure
  • Leading scorer with 38 points during his junior year
  • Helped LIU Post to the second of back-to-back national championships, scoring one goal and two assists against LeMoyne in the title game of his 2010 freshman campaign
  • Team's scoring offense was top ten in the nation in three out of four seasons and the man-up offense was top ten in the nation all four of his seasons
  • Upon playing career, transfered to Houghton College where he received a bachelor of science degree in physical education

High School Career

  • Three-year varsity player at Corning East in Corning, N.Y.
  • Two-time state finalist
  • Scored over 200 points in prep career
  • Named Section IV Player of the Year as a senior
